Alison Bradley christens her gerbera during Interflora World Cup

During the Interflora World Cup in Manchester, Alison Bradley, founder of Floral Fundamentals, christened her own gerbera. Gerbera Alison is a new variety from De Lier-based gerbera grower and breeder Holstein Flowers.

The bouquet was created by Flora Fundamentals ambassador Laura Leong, who, along with Morgan Douglas Nuth on stage, made sure it was an extra successful surprise for Alison.

Surprised, Alison accepted the bouquet with her own gerbera. She then christened it with champagne in the presence of many international florists, growers, and the press. “Alison has been putting her heart and soul into the flower sector for years,” said Paul van Holstein of Holstein Flowers. “By founding Floral Fundamentals, she has brought many florists, growers, and wholesalers closer together to share their passion, knowledge, and craftsmanship. Holstein Flowers has also been a member of this platform for many years, and we are proud of that.”

Gerbera Alison is now available for orders through Holstein Flowers.

As a token of gratitude, Holstein Flowers has named a special gerbera after her. Paul: “Gerbera Alison is a large-flowered gerbera from our own breeding with a bright pink color and a diameter of 11 cm. An impressively large flower for an impressive grand lady. And what could be better than having this flower christened during the Interflora World Cup, where the entire international floristry profession comes together!”
