De Hoog Orchids presents variegated Dendrobium nobile

De Hoog Orchids will enter the European market in 2025 with a variegated Dendrobium nobile. This is unique within the product group of exclusive orchids. It is often the case that variegated varieties are difficult or impossible to propagate. However, this variety has been tested in Floricultura’s laboratory and, like all De Hoog Orchids varieties, is tissue-cultured. Both companies emphasize that this Nobile is a true Variegata variety, grown exclusively by De Hoog Orchids.

No exact delivery week yet
Thanks to years of testing in the laboratory and in the nursery, it has become clear that this variety has an even longer cultivation period than the usual Dendrobium nobile varieties. Unfortunately, at the moment, we cannot give an exact date for the first delivery of this unique variety,” says owner Marco de Hoog. “But as soon as the date is closer, we will communicate it widely. Our loyal customers will, of course, be informed in advance.

This new variety, like the other Dendrobium nobile varieties, has a flowering period of up to 10 weeks. But even after flowering, the plant remains a special sight with its colorful new shoots. The plant, which does not yet have a name, can be admired at the upcoming Aalsmeer Trade Fair (stand number 15.6).
