Tree nursery Lüers to open farm’s doors to the public

The focus of the presentation will be on Lüers brands and concepts:

Heckenprofi
This hedge plant brand includes pot-grown Thuja and Chamaecyparis as well as evergreen shrubs like Prunus laurocerasus, Prunus lusitanica, and Photinia x fraseri. According to the company, decidous trees shedding leaves in autumn like Carpinus and Fagus are well suitable to withstand the current climate change.

Stadt Ernte
This program is translated as “City Harvest”, and is meant for fruit-gardening enthusiasts in cities enjoying their gardening efforts in small gardens and on balconies or terraces. Stadt Ernte means Bio-certified berry crops in peat-reduced or peat-free growing media. Apples, pears, plums, cherries, apricots, and peaches are produced without the use of pesticides. The Fruchtbar concept includes apple varieties edible for allergic persons.

For many years, numerous tree nurseries in one of the largest European tree production regions, the Ammerland, and the area surrounding the city of Oldenburg in northwestern Germany have invited customers and colleagues to visit their nurseries and production fields.

August 19-23, 2024
The family-owned tree nursery Lüers and their plant wholesale department invite customers and potential customers to visit the nursery in Westerstederfeld within the county capital Westerstede. Lüers produces 48 ha, and runs a plant wholesale business trading plants from other nurseries in the NorthWestern part of Germany, the Netherlands, and Holstein, the nursery production area just north of Hamburg. The team of 7 horticulturists in the Sales- and Procurement Department supported by colleagues in production and packaging will be available in this special week.

Windspiel
Lüers produces a comprehensive list of ornamental grasses and bamboo in 2 l, 5 l, 10 l and 20 l containers.
