Thieves take $200,000 worth of equipment from Haleiwa flower farm

The owners of a plumeria farm on Oahu’s North Shore are determined to pick up the pieces after thieves took off with nearly $200,000 worth of farm equipment. Little Plumeria Farms in Haleiwa has been operating for more than five decades.

The family said this is the biggest theft to hit their farm since it opened. Clark Little and his son Dane said two containers on the property were emptied that were once full of small equipment worth an estimated $100,000.

Law enforcement sources said it was hauled away by thieves early Saturday using one of the farm’s own trailers. “So many tools, drones. It’s very important,” said Dane Little. “It’s like we can’t even work at the farm without these tools.”

Aside from the small equipment, the Littles say an additional $100,000 worth of heavy equipment was also taken.
